What is the role?

You’ll be using online accounting software and apps and working closely with our clients to ensure that the following responsibilities are handled diligently:

  • Weekly Bookkeeping (mix of accrual and cash-basis) for multiple clients
  • Answering support questions from clients related to bookkeeping
  • Ensuring clients’ books are kept up-to-date and are accurate and organized
  • Preparing month-end reports
  • Managing multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment

Required Experience

  • An excellent understanding of accrual bookkeeping, payroll, debits and credits, clearing accounts, bank reconciliations and more
  • An excellent understanding of the ins and outs of how an accounting system works: Invoicing, payables, bookkeeping, tax rates, etc.
  • Prior bookkeeping experience in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills

  • You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Hyper-organized
  • Social, presentable and well spoken - we want our clients to love you!
  • You are independent, highly motivated and a self-starter
  • You are a multi-tasker and can manage multiple clients simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic
  • Tech savvy

Other Skills and Requirements

  • A love for technology and the ability to learn new software/apps quickly
  • Strong internet connection - at least 6MBPS upload and 6MBPS download speeds
  • Knowledge of online accounting software (Xero, QBO, etc.) is an asset
